Since 2005, GPE has invested $256.8 million in grants to support Madagascar’s education sector, focusing on key areas like early-grade learning and girls’ education. Recent initiatives include a $37.5 million System Transformation Grant (2023–2027) to improve foundational learning in grades 1–5 and a $12.5 million Girls’ Education Accelerator Grant to promote girls’ enrollment and retention. These efforts, supported by the government and local stakeholders, are creating new opportunities for students nationwide.
